President Ruto’s style of operation manifests a man who is full of energy while in his late 50s. At 58, We at Chaduchinews wonder how possible it is for Ruto to operate-daily-from 5am until 11.00 or 12.00 midnight without proscanating!
On a Monday, November 14, 2022, Jackline Macharia of the Daily Nation reported Kenyan President William Ruto to have held 126 publicized meetings in 60 days. His total engagement for September 2022, the month he took oath of office, were 60 meetings. Those close to him, confirmed and still confirm that Ruto is an early person and he can’t spend a whole hour wihout an official engagement. One MP close to him was qouted saying:
“William Ruto is a guy who can do 16 functions in a day. He wakes at 5am and he can work until midnight” MP

A Teetotaller known to wake up very early and handle as many as 6 public meetings combined with other official engagements a day, President Ruto’s energy amazes those around him leaving no doubt that William is a hands-on person loving what he is doing.

A day like this, the then Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua (now impeached) admitted that his boss was an early person.
“He wakes up very early and sleeps late, all this time you can expect a call more when he is trying to clarify something,” Gachagua.
Today, Ruto concluded his week-long tour at the Coast region. Chaduchinews can confirm that the Head of State held over 30 meetings. On Sartuday 22, Ruto’s diary was unclear i doubt, he opted staying indoors at Mombasa Statehouse. But on Sunday 23, Ruto had two public engagements: One at the Port of Mombasa where he welcomed and toured the Norwegian Dawn, a 294-metre long passenger vessel, with more than 2,200 tourists on board. The other was a church service at Jesus Celebration Centre, Bamburi, Mombasa County.

On Monday 24, Ruto held a closed door consultation meeting with the former Prime Minister and ODM Leader Raila Odinga. The meeting was also attended by close allies from both parties. Later he went to Likoni. While in Likoni, Ruto opened the Likoni Technical and Vocational College, Mombasa County. This was followed by a well packed public baraza in Likoni. He then went to Changamwe where he toured the Changamwe NHC Affordable Housing Project, Mombasa County, later a big Baraza followed.

Then February 25, found Ruto in Kwale. While in Kwale, Ruto Flagged-off the Last Mile Phase IV Connectivity Projects, Kiwegu Secondary School, Kwale County. He also laid the foundation stone for X-Ray Block and opening of Theatre Block, Mkogani Sub-County Hospital, Kwale County. Ruto also commissioned fully equipped classrooms and a laboratory at Kiwegu Secondary School, enhancing access to quality education in the region. before having a big baraza. Then he came to Diani to commission the Diani Affordable Housing Project and Issuance of Title Deeds, Kwale County.

Ruto started his official diary on February 26, with a meeting with UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina J. Mohammed on regional and global peace and stability. he also hosted the outgoing Indonesian Ambassador Dr. Mohamed Hery Saripudin to bid him farewell. Then he came to Kilifi. While in Kilifi, Ruto laid the Foundation Stone for Tezo Affordable Housing Project, Tezo Ward in Kilifi County, commisioned the 33/11 kV Sabaki Sub-Station, Kilifi County, Inspected the Mariakani 400/220 kV Sub-Station, Kilifi County, and finally he launched the Kwa Jomvu-Mariakani (A8) Dual Road, Kilifi County. The same day, Ruto went to Mombasa to officially open the Mjambere Secondary School, Kisauni, Mombasa County. Remember after project launch, there is a baraza and even a roadside meet the people rally.

Then on February 27, Ruto was in Lamu. While in this Island County, Ruto started his official engagement by launching the Kenya – Off Grid Solar Access Project (KOSAP), Ndau Island, Lamu County. This was followed by a Baraza. Then he went to Mokowe to lay the Foundation Stone for Mokowe Affordable Housing Project, Lamu County. He later rushed to Tanariver County. Here, he commissioned the Bura Gravity Canal (Korakora–Nanighi), Tana River County.

His concluded his coast tour on February 28. On this day, he went to Taita Taveta. Here, he launched the construction of the 65-kilometre Illasit — Rombo — Njukini —Taveta Road linking Kajiado and Taita Taveta Counties, he also launched the Voi Pool House Affordable Housing Project, Taita Taveta County after inspecting the Maungu Market, Taita Taveta County..This day ended in Mombasa where Ruto came to witness the signing of the Dongo Kundu Special Economic Zone Lease Agreement between the Kenya Ports Authority, the Special Economic Zones Authority, and African Export-Import Bank in Mombasa County.

President Ruto was first elected Member of Parliament for Eldoret North constituency on the Kenya African National Union (KANU) ticket. He served three terms – (1997-2013). In 2002, he was a key campaigner for Uhuru Kenyatta and KANU, but they lost the election to Mwai Kibaki of the National Rainbow Coalition, who became the third President of Kenya. During this period in the opposition, he served as the Chairman of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Constitutional Reform in the 9th Parliament starting and leading the process of assembling the team and setting up the structures that put Kenya on the road to a new constitution.
He was appointed Minister for Agriculture in the Coalition Government that was formed in 2008 and served for three years. During his tenure, he revived irrigation schemes and provided affordable fertilizer to farmers while working with maize, sugarcane, coffee and tea sectors to boost productivity and secure access to markets. He was later appointed as the Minister of Higher Education where he sought to define education as acquisition of knowledge and skilling as well as elaborate policy on its value.
President Ruto was born on December 21, 1966, in Sambut, Kamagut Location in Uasin Gishu County, in the Rift Valley. He attended Sambut Primary School and later joined Wareng Secondary School in Eldoret, before proceeding to Kapsabet High in Nandi County for his ‘A’ Levels. Thereafter, he was admitted to the University of Nairobi to study Botany and Zoology. In 2008, he graduated with a Master of Science Degree in Plant Ecology and in December 2018 graduated with a PHD in Plant Ecology from the same university.
