MINORITY MEMBERS REJECTED HIM, YET CHENGO HAS NO SHAME!

AS he (Tezo MCA-Tom Chengo) continues to embed with the executive disregarding the constitutional requirement of a minority leader.
The PAA party’s well-being is being put to test. Leaving it with no option but validate the decision of the minority members of Kilifi County Assembly. Let Chengo retire from this crucial role of a Minority leader at Kilifi County Assembly.
His continued onslaught of the Party’s Constitution calls for a tough disciplinary action by the party.
The perceived “betrayal” by Chengo to PAA Party if unchecked will simmer disquiet and even open rebellion by members.
In the interest of the public and party membership, the PAA Party must put on the coat of courage, tell Tom Chengo the truth, and deliver justice to PAA members in Tezo Ward who feel more betrayed.
Chengo came to PAA with great pretence, gained party’s confidence, took the party around the bend and now he is frying the party.
This is not the nature of the game. The PAA party’s interests are perpetual well summarised in the Party’s Constitution. Those interests are our duties to follow as members.
The choice of Minority Members at the County Assembly to replace Chengo with Hon. Joseph Munyoki was deliberate.
PAA Nominated MCA Joseph Munyoki is a man with integrity, consistently upholding his beliefs and values in his actions, even when it’s difficult.
Many know Munyoki for his honesty, transparency, and commitment to what he believes is right, regardless of political pressure or personal gain.
Munyoki stands firm in his convictions, even when faced with opposition or criticism. Above all, Munyoki loves his Party PAA with all his heart.
These are traits those in the majority side at the assembly (backed by the executive) are not comfortable with. That why they are doing all they can to frustrate the process of replacing Tom Chengo with Joseph Munyoki.
The County Governments Act, particularly Section 10, establishes the positions of the Majority and Minority Party Leaders in a county assembly.
However, the specific process for removal of the Minority Leader falls under the realm of the political party and its internal rules, as well as the county assembly’s Standing Orders.
Essentially, the party itself, guided by its internal rules, will decide on the removal, and the Standing Orders will outline how the party’s decision is communicated to the assembly.
Let’s wait and see!
