MUNG’ARO’S SLUMPING GOVERNMENT

Kilifi County Governor, Gideon Maitha Mung'aro signing the Supplementary Budget at his Officd

From Allegations of Fraud, to Maladministration and Poor Fiscal Management, to Unclear County Economic Growth Policies, Mung’aro’s Government of Kilifi is Slumping.
The past two years has seen Mung’aro’s regime slipping badly (administration-wise), always napping and most a time resorting to PR games.
The less-than-agile leadership of Gideon Mung’aro has proved to be moribund with no policy or legislative clarity to grow Kilifi economy, develop Kilifi land and its population.
Mung’aro’s insistence on seeking re-election has weakened his focus to develop the county making him incapable of bailing-out his people away from poverty.
Kilifi County is inhabitted mostly by rural indigenous people, many of whom are poor subsistence farmers who are seeing little to no benefit from this troubled government.
Their government has failed. What indicts this administration is the unhappiness by most residents who get frusted daily while seeking important services like health and water.
Fresh in the public’s mind is the Audit Report(2023-2024). The garbage collection scandal that has seen atleast 15 county officials summoned by the director of criminal investigations (DCI) is another public puzzle.
Mung’aro’s failures have become so common that they are less of a shock to the public than an expectation!
These failures are undermining the social contract the Governor made with Kilifi Electorates.
The contract that sought to enhance social well-being, provision goods and services beyond just a narrow few, and means for commoners to express their voices appears to be suspended by Mung’aro
With little hope for improvement, Kilifi Voters are only left with the BALLOT OPTION .
