OFFLINE ATRUISM OF RUFUS KALAMA AS HE ENRICHES THE FUTURE!

Off social media, reality hits different — out here, there are no likes, no comments, no filters, no applause.
It’s just you vs. life. No one claps when you wake up early. No one double taps your hustle. No one reposts your struggles.

Reality doesn’t care about your online aesthetic — it checks your character, consistency, and discipline.
So if you’re doing it for clout, you’re already losing. But if you’re building quietly, reality will reward you loudly.
Offline is where it really counts. Hone your craft. Heal. Grind. Grow.
Because when the WiFi disconnects, your real life should still be worth living.
At one of the great villages of Mafisini Village Ziani Sublocation in Chasimba Ward lives a man, a patrioc son of Chasimba Ward, a father, a husband, a Christian, an Intellectual, a land Registrar, an Advocate of the high court and more importantly- a silent atruist and offline philanthropist.
Meet Barrister Rufus Kalama, from Mafisini Village, Ziani Sublocation in Chasimba Ward of Kilifi County.
From education support to the needy children through his personal pocket to offering KCPE and KSCE candidates with geometry sets and other exam tools.
The impact of his philanthropic work is beyond his village of Mafisini as recently he donated exam tools like geometry sets to candidates from Shimolatewa and Mtepeni Ward.

Congratulations Rufus.
The atruism story of Rufus dates back to 2007. Before responding to scholarship to study abroad, Rufus had already touched many young men and women of Chonyiland.
Here is what his beneficiaries has to say:
He has championed Education in Chonyi Sub-county
When reached by Chaduchinews, Rufus had this to say:
My derive to this was the desire of giving back to the Community and to begin with was education. The foundation was at the Primary level and l started this with my Primary School -Kidutani Primary School. The school which shaped my childhood education upto Class 8. So in 2007 l thought it was the right time. I was preparing to proceed to India for my second degree Bachelors of Law(LL.B) at Osmania University Andra Pradesh which became a home of studies for young men and women from Chonyi Subcounty desirous to pursue their university education. Coming back to Kenya in 2011, Mafisini Primary School had been started at my Mafisini Village by the Area Councillor Mr Kiti Bekambi with the assistance of Mzee Simeon Tunje Jacob as the Patron of the project. For the love of education, l made Mafisini primary as our village community priority project for spearheading development within the village. In 2013, l mobilized funds and bought text books for the whole school (Standard 1-8). But by that time the school had upto class 5. So instead of donating books &other stationeries to Mafisini and l thought of donating Geometrical sets for class 8 for their KCPE exams to other schools with candidates. . And l started this program in 2014. Since then l have been doing it for schools in Chasimba ward and in 2023, the Last KCPE with the assistance of some Chonyi Professionals, we did it for the whole of Chasimba Ward and extended it to 3 Schools from Mwarakaya Ward. Kidutani Primary School which is my former Primary School hasn’t been missing in the program despite being in Mwarakaya ward. This year l resumed the program to Grade 9 after Mr Alphonce Kaingu one of the supporter of the program who is my cousin and a great friend, enthusiastic about giving back to community asked me if we can roll it out again starting with grade 9 and requested me to extend this generosity to his school of Mtomondoni Primary School in Shimo La Tewa ward, Mtwapa. l mobilized funds from my famliy, relatives, friends and wellwishers. We were able to raise funds and donated these Geometrical sets to six schools with grade 9 candidates writing their exams. It happened this wk. Then five schools in Chonyi Subcounty and one in Kikambala, all these Subcounties are in Kilifi South Constituency, Kilifi County. God willing next year, we shall extend to the rest of the schools within Chonyi Subcounty and Kikambala Subcounty.
