OSCAR WANJE: TRENDSETTER IN GRASSROOTS DEVELOPMENT

Young, brilliant and Focused, Ganda MCA is succeeding in setting the Kilifi trend in Grassroots development and local politics. His actions (always focused on Ganda people) stun his opponents.

As other Kilifi Leaders are busy showcasing their myopia, Oscar is always busy doing what every Kilifi person termed to be right in his ganda ward.

For instance, this Sartuday, March 8, he convened an event that offered mobile medical services in Msabaha grounds. Over 1000 (from Ganda and other wards) benefited from these services.

Oscar’s leadership decisions and actions have convinced many Kilifians that they offer hope to renew hearts of Ganda people, overcome poverty in Ganda households, fight disease for a healthy and wealthy Ganda, and change Ganda society for good.

Oscar’s unique political approach in Ganda Ward serves as an interesting case study on how political mobilization is possible by a person just serving a county level position.

By the sunny morning of March 8, Saturday, Msabaha grounds was filled to capacity.

This speaks volume politically. Some Kilifi big’fish politicians struggled to fill their venues during the IWD celebrations.

His work in Ganda is not appreciated and recognized by the Kilifi population alone.

Last year, he got three prestigious awards. One being Jamhuri Kenya Awards (2) as the Best Performing MCA in Kenya and as the Best Performing MCA in Coast Region.

Then the Pollster Rankings awarded Oscar as the Best Performing MCA in Kilifi County.

Referred as “Chuma Cha Maendeleo’ by his supporters, Oscar has set the trend no current MCA in Kilifi can match.

The pressure he has now is whether to seek a bigger mandate in 2027 or continue serving the great people of Ganda.

Time will tell.
