On Friday 28, the Party embarked on major institutional changes. Part of these changes as communicated to the media were the NEC’s appointment of the New Secretary General- Ganze MP, Keneth Charo Kazungu (Tungule).

This move is seen by observers as strategic meant to position the party as a powerful political movement not just in the Coast region but Kenya at large.

In his acceptance speech, the new Secretary General vowed to bring more life to the party and ensure in the next general election, the Party will win at least 10 MP seats and over 50 MCA seats.

“I don’t take this recognition for granted. Let me take this opportunity to thank the party leadership and members. I know a lot is expected, but being a team player, I believe together we are going to achieve more. The next assignment is capturing the Magarini Seat. I will personally camp in Magarini sub-county to ensure that our candidate (who is yet to be identified by the party) wins the by-election. Then 2027 will not be business as usual. We need to get more MPs in Parliament (at least 10). We also need to ensure that PAA commands the majority in all the Coast County Assemblies. This can be done.” Hon. Tungule.

The Ganze MP takes over from Former Malindi MP, Lucas Maitha.
