THE COMRADE HAS TRIUMPHED!

PS Nominee, Department of Youth Affairs and Sports, Republic of Kenya.

Armed with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Philosophy, recalling his agony as the only student leader at the coast who was expelled twice by two public universities, Comrade Fikirini Jacobs CDE has triumphed.
His nomination as Principal Secretary in the State Department of Youth Affairs and Sports by President William Ruto on Thursday crested a journey of a rising star from a little known Bamba Village.
Fikirini Jacobs is the authentic story of youth resilience in a world that has been so cruel to the youth population.
If his nomination is approved by Parliament and takes over as the PS incharge of the youth of this country, Fikirini’s challenge will be to fix the issues confounding this critical mass- the youth.
Young People are an essential component of a nation’s development and the realization of Kenya Vision 2030.
The achievement of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) will largely depend on the development of Kenya’s human resources, of which the youth are the majority.
Regrettably though, they have been relegated to the backburners and are at the periphery of all major decision making processes.
Over the last one or two years, youth have challenged the established political order and tested the traditional political settlement theories that suggest power is primarily held by political elites.
These events in Kenya clamoured as the GenZ Revolution potentially led to a shift in political power and the onset of a “co-shared political power” era of governance and public scrutiny on the affairs of the state.
Fikirini being young in age and having worked with young people in university, might require extra energy and wisdom to fix the issues being canvased by the youth during and after June 25, 2024.
The youth dissent is live and loud if social media engagements are anything to go by.
