"Dr. Ruth Dama Masha the Kilifi County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Gender, Culture, and Sports Development with her two Chief Officers, appeared before the County Assembly Committee on Gender, Sports and Cultural Services. The meeting deliberated on the status report of several stalled social hall projects and the proposed Kilifi Water Stadium. The Committee chaired by Kayafungo Ward Member of the County Assembly (MCA) Hon. Agnes Sidi, received updates on the progress and challenges affecting these projects. This engagement was prompted by concerns raised by members of the public and MCAs regarding incomplete projects under the Department of Gender, Sports and Cultural Development in their respective wards." This is a statement from the Kilifi County Assembly Facebook Timeline.

What this statement reveals to the Kilifi public is that the CEC in question is emerging to be the most incompetent in Mung’aro’s administration.

In today’s rapidly evolving job market, the traditional emphasis on qualifications is slowly raising intriguing concerns on being qualified but incompetent.

This is a perplexing and often frustrating reality in many professional settings.

Despite being academically qualified, Dr. Ruth seems to be overwhelmed falling short of her performance at this crucial department meant to develop a critical population in our county – the youth.

In as much as she is one of the hyper-educated, ambitious and well rewarded (with a prominent position in Kilifiland) elites, Dr. Ruth’s incompetence betrays Kilifi people aspirations and ridicules the development intentions of Governor Gideon Maitha Mung’aro.
